Give a hand up, not a handout.
No initial fee is necessary, as the home works from a community basis of faith and trust. All residents are expected to pay a weekly fee to help offset the cost of operating the home in an effort to make the home self-supporting. Every gift — large or small — helps a man cover room and board while he finds his feet.
